Dan’s Biography

Senior Daniel Counterman acts as the eccentrically cynical editor-in-chief of The Pekinois. He is active in the PCHS scholastic bowl team. He likes rock music of all shapes and sizes, genres and eras. However, there is a special place in the wild expanse of his heart for classic rock, with his favorite bands being Bob Dylan, Alice Cooper, and Aerosmith. He enjoys reading, as well as other forms of entertainment be it television, cinema, or video games. The things that make him laugh are also the things that continue to push him into hopelessly uncompromising nihilism, namely the seemingly meaninglessness of events in life, both great and small. He hopes and aspires to be an extraordinarily successful writer, but he will probably use a pen name, so you won’t recognize him anyway. If he was an animal, he would probably be a very ominous looking crow, and if he had to choose his favorite superhero, it would undoubtedly be Batman. He also has an affinity for good science fiction.
